About Wendy

In January 2008, "the Accountant" and I had our first child - a funny, smart and beautiful little girl lovingly called "Miss Thing." Ten months later, I was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer. I was 33 years old and my life was turned upside down. A full-time mom turned full-time cancer patient, I made it through eight rounds of chemotherapy and seven weeks of daily radiation treatment. I am now consider cancer-free!

Survivorship - and motherhood - is much harder than I expected. Lingering chemo-brain (it's real, Google it), various aches and pains and the mind games they play, and early menopause can make raising a toddler a bit challenging!

Consider following me, would ya? I write a lot about my life, Miss Thing, the Accountant - when he allows it, cancer and how it affects us, and whatever else feels important on that particular day!

Thanks for popping in!
